Broome Village Hall DOES NOT HAVE A LICENCE TO SELL ALCOHOL. Hirers wishing to sell alcohol must arrange their own licence.
Hire of the main hall includes the use of the mobile stage which must be returned to the storage rack afterwards BUT DOES NOT INCLUDE the use of the small meeting room or the kitchen. (A charge of £15 will be levied if any facility i.e. oven, hotplate or heated cabinet is used to warm/cook food etc.).

Deposits must be paid 7 days prior to the use of the hall and this deposit will be returned within 7 days maximum, provided the hirer has met with the conditions of hire.

The small meeting room is furnished with tables and seating. There is also a kettle and sink, you must provide your own cups/spoons and drink making provisions.
Includes use of basic kitchen equipment (Kettles / Dishwasher).

1. The Hirer is responsible for any damage to the hall and/or its contents during the period of hire and for the costs incurred if heating/lighting/kitchen equipment be left on after the hall is vacated.
2. The Hirer must ensure that when booking the hall that they include time needed in order to set up and pack away all equipment to ensure that the hall is left in a clean and tidy condition. In particular, requests regarding the manner in which chairs and tables should be replaced should be observed.
3. Where required, a deposit of £75/£50 (delete as appropriate) will be paid in advance. This deposit will be returned within seven days of the event if no damage has been caused to the hall or its contents and that no additional costs have been incurred by the Hall Committee as a direct result of the Hirer failing to comply with these terms and conditions.
4. Before access is given to the hall, the cost of hire and deposit (if appropriate) must have been paid in full.
5. The Hall Committee will not be held responsible for any loss or damage to any property belonging to any person using the hall nor to their vehicles using the car park.
6. All functions must end at 11.45pm, and the hall and car park cleared by 12 midnight.
7. The village hall does not have a licence to sell alcohol. It is therefore the Hirer’s responsibility to obtain their own licence if selling alcohol.
8. If Hirers are using the kitchen facilities for other than the serving of drinks and biscuits observance of the regulations under the Safer Food Better Business System should be made and Hirer should hold appropriate Certificates in Food handling etc.
9. If Hirers are holding a raffle at their event, it is the Hirer’s responsibility to ensure that they comply with The Gambling Act 2005 in relation to raffles/lotteries/tombolas.
10. Access to the fire exit doors must be kept clear at all times and the exit lights illuminated.
11. Upon leaving the premises, it is the Hirer’s responsibility to ensure that all rubbish bins are emptied (no plastic bags in recycling bin), lights/heaters and kitchen equipment are switched off (except the emergency lights which are clearly marked), all windows are secure and all doors locked. Any items left on the premises will be disposed of if not collected within 48 hours of leaving on the premises.
12. If the hirer fails to cancel any booking within 24 hours of hire, the deposit will be forfeited.
