Broome Village hall is a lovely place to hold a family "do". It not only has a great kitchen and facilities it is just so welcoming. Apart from the hall it's nearby children's play area is also a great asset. Well done and thank you to the hall committee for making it such a nice place to be. Broome Village Hall News

A note from Fred

Well now it feels like the end of another season as we approach the summer. We have held our last Soup Lunch until September and the Hot Cross Bun breakfast on Good Friday.

I have to say that although I have had great pleasure cooking for all the events that we have held the time has come for me to say "enough".

So SITUATIONS VACANT - occasional cook/ chef to take on Broome Village Hall. No age limit, no pay. Training can be given, we don't shout and I would love to pass on my knowledge.

What's does it involve? We do the soup lunches monthly September to April. Soup making is shared and cakes of course. We have put on entertainment evenings over the years and it be a shame to see it all end. Perhaps it sounds a bit daunting how about 2 or3 of you getting together. I know there are some fantastic cooks out there. I just use bigger pots!

Contact me on 01986 895414 or Hazel on 01986 948931 is you want any information or would just like to explore what this involves more fully.
